Valuable Life Lessons

Image
I would like to share with you the lessons by a 90 year old man:) Feel free to spread this around with your friends and family. 1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good. 2. When in doubt, just take the next small step. 3. Life is too short not to enjoy it. 4. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and family will. 5. Don’t buy stuff you don’t need. 6. You don’t have to win every argument. Stay true to yourself. 7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone. 8. It’s OK to get angry with God. He can take it. 9. Save for things that matter. 10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile. 11. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present. 12. It’s OK to let your children see you cry. 13. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about. 14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it. 15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye… But don’t worry; G...

Study Finds Evidence of Life After Death

Image
There have long been stories of near-death or out-of-body experiences but, as researchers at the University of Southampton in the U.K. wryly note, "objective studies on these experiences are limited." So they decided to investigate whether these claims corresponded with actual events. Their conclusion: It does seem to be possible for some form of awareness to happen for up to a few minutes after death, they report in a study published in the journal  Resuscitation . Beginning in 2008, scientists looked at 2,060 people who went into cardiac arrest (which they describe as "biologically synonymous with death") at 15 different hospitals in the U.S., U.K., and Austria. Of the 330 people who survived, about 40% recalled awareness while they were clinically dead. (The lead doctor tells the  Telegraph   that number could be higher if some of those people's memories weren't dulled by drugs or sedatives.) Of those, 46% had memories not commonly associated with ...

Six Things To Practice During 2014: 1 ~ Make Peace With Your Past~

Image
Have you made peace with your past? Before you answer that, take a moment and ask yourself the following questions: Do you feel grounded each and every day?  Are you consciously aware of the present? Are you genuinely at peace here in this moment?  Are you content with your life?   Are you content with who you are?  Do you rarely think of the past?   And when you do, c an you honestly look back on past events and situations and have a better understanding of what took place and why?   Can you think about people whom you lost, be it through a physical death or them leaving you to be with someone else, and know it wasn't anything you did/didn't say or do/didn't do?    Can you think about these people without getting upset or going into a fit of rage?   Can look at your past and feel nothing but satisfaction and gratitude? *~*~* If you can answer yes to most of the above questions,  you're well on your way to being 100...
