Hypocrisy: The TRUE Enemy

hypocrisy:the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.

If only those who fight so diligently for refugees would use those same energies and passions to fight for the homeless right here in their homeland.

I wonder where is their courage when it comes to putting an end to the suffering of  those who reside in their own home state and city? Where is their  compassion when it comes to those who fought for the very freedoms we all enjoy?  I wonder...How can they can so easily turn a blind eye to the struggles and tragedies of those who live right there in their very own neighborhoods, cities and sates and see so clearly the hardships of others?

Where is the sense of justice when it comes to the elderly here in the United States?  Where is the passion to fight for the rights of our elderly to live out their golden years without having to choose between much needed medicines and food or paying their utilities or rent?

I wonder further how can anyone can just sit and pretend that it's perfectly okay to spend billions of dollars to bring in refugees and provide them with housing, medical care and food when millions of our own people are going without these very things?

hypocrisy: Turning a blind eye to those standing right in front of them who are in need, while having  great sight to see the needs of those faraway.

There is a saying...Charity begins at home.  This is a concept that many  obviously don't get.  So I'll break it down for everyone.  Whenever you fly on an airplane, one of the first thing you are told is...in case of emergency place the oxygen mask over your face FIRST before attempting to assist others.  There's a reason for this.  Think about it long and hard as to WHY you are instructed to do this.   While the safety of others is important--you can't help them if you pass out from lack of oxygen.

Follow me so far?  Are you grasping the concept?

Again I must ask...where is the passion, the compassion, this sense of nobleness and justice when it comes to...

The elderly, many of whom do without the basic necessities,  in your own city and state?

For the children, the men and women who go hungry and homeless in your own city and state?

Our Veterans who fought for our freedoms?  So many are homeless; doing without medical care.

Where is that passionate fight for their rights for housing, food, medical care and such?

hypocrisy: A weapon that radicals from any and all religious/political standing will exploit and use to the fullest extent to gain power over those who don't have the willpower or the clarity to see how they're being used and manipulated.

Those who live as hypocrites don't see--can't see beyond their own lack of genuine goodness.   They just don't get it.   No, of course not.  And why would they?  They're too busy being self-righteous to even bother.  They're too pre-occupied with the name calling, too busy with the  shaming of those who believe in, and live by, that old adage Charity Begins At Home!  Too busy blindly following behind their hypocritical political and religious leaders,  too busy mimicking their example to care about or  to  see anything outside their own hypocrisy.  .

Pride and a false sense of  humanity doesn't allow them to see what's right in front of them.   No, it doesn't.

*~*~*~*~*

You see my friends, when you strengthen your own, provide for them FIRST you create unity.  In that unity you will have more willing souls joining your crusade to provide for others outside your neighborhoods, outside your cities and states.  When you take care of those right in front of you FIRST...You will see clearly how quickly charity grows and filters out. Taking care of those right in front of you FIRST creates a foundation so strong that it cannot and will not  falter.

But you the prideful hypocrite cannot begin to even fathom that particular concept.   Now can you?

hypocrisy: The destroyer of unity and logic; the eviscerator of good sense

The bottom line ladies & gentlemen...

The true enemy of the world is Hypocrisy.  And THAT is what we're really at war with!

"Stop twerking, start working!" A Very Timely message from Louisville Pastor Kevin Cosby

Pastor Kevin Cosby.  You're  not going to  find his influence in any of the local Ferguson protests.  But you will find him here in Louisville, Kentucky inspiring and motivating!

"I'm not marching over hands up -- don't shoot!' because we're the ones doing the shooting," Cosby shouted in one of his sermons "But I will march if you change it from 'Hands up -- don't shoot!' to 'Books open -- don't flunk!'"   [emphasis added]

The End of October Doesn't Mean An End To Awareness!

Domestic Violence Awareness Month may be coming to a close at the end of October, but we must not forget that every day men, women and children seek safety and justice inside America's courts.

Sadly, from New York to California, victims of domestic violence are facing a rationing of justice. Court furlough days have resulted in backlogs and delayed temporary restraining orders. Crippling budget cuts mean courts must reduce their hours of operation or close altogether.

Turned away at shuttered courthouse doors, victims of domestic violence are left to fend for themselves.

In Oregon, "Jane" had to wait three days to file a Family Abuse Prevention Act Restraining Order because Friday was a designated court furlough day. In New Jersey, "Joe" sat outside a courtroom door for nearly five hours waiting to be heard while the increasing backlog of cases ultimately suspended civil and family court trials and delayed temporary restraining orders. And in Mississippi, children were left in limbo while safe custody and visitation orders took a back seat to devastating court budget cuts that delayed and postponed the administration of justice.

Lives are in danger, and we must act now. Our courts cannot do their part to protect families unless they are fully funded. Donate to Justice at Stake today by clicking HERE. Our courts must not be closed to the public.

SAVE BEES—FIGHT NEW THREATS

Despite massive bee die-offs, toxic bee-killing pesticides continue to be approved—putting bees and our food system in dire jeopardy.

To help us fight in court to save bees and the natural world, Board members of Earth Justice have offered to match your support $1-for-$1—up to $784,000—now through July 15.

Donate now and your gift will go twice as far.

Despite alarming declines in bee populations, toxic bee-killing pesticides continue to be approved—as recently as June 13—putting bees, our natural heritage, and our food system in dire jeopardy.
Earthjustice is ramping up our work to save bees and stop these dangerous pesticides, but we need your help now more than ever to see these and other fights through.
To help with critical battles like this, 17 members of our Board of Trustees have offered to match your support $1-for-$1—up to $784,000— through July 15.
Nearly one-third of our crops—including many vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds—depend on bees for pollination. But despite the vital role bees play, the California Department of Pesticide Regulation and Environmental Protection Agency continue to approve pesticides that are linked to a bee die-off of historic proportions.
Just recently—on June 13—the Department of Pesticide Regulation approved the expanded use of two pesticides (Valent U.S.A. Corporation’s “Venom Insecticide” and Mitsui Chemical Agro’s “Dinotefuran 20SG”) that are contributing to bee colony collapse disorder...without analyzing environmental impacts or available alternatives.
And the EPA recently approved the use of another pesticide, sulfoxaflor, that is highly toxic to bees...and is now considering expanding the number of crops it can be sprayed on to include corn, alfalfa, and oats, to name just a few.
We’re fighting back, but we need your help!
Last year, one-third of our honeybee colonies died or disappeared. The massive die-off of these vital pollinators threatens to unravel agricultural production across the country.
We can’t afford to let short-term, private profits destroy our natural world. Help us ensure that new highly-toxic pesticides do not become the final straw for bees.
Your contribution matched $1-for-$1 today, will be put to use immediately to:
Save bees—already struggling to survive—from Dow AgroScience’s new pesticide sulfoxaflor, which has been shown to be highly toxic to bees
Fight the expanded use of toxic bee-killing pesticides like sufloxaflor
Stop the approval of new bee-killing pesticides without analyzing environmental impacts or available alternatives
Prevent the next generation of GMO crops from gaining approval—and leading to much greater use of even more dangerous pesticides
And take on other critical fights to protect the natural world

Thank you for all that you do!!

Please Sign The Petition!

On October 6,2009 Cuddles,  6 week-old kitten,  was tortured to death in Pennsylvania.  A group of men threw rocks at her and then put lighter fluid on her back and lit it.  Her whiskers and entire back was severely burned.

She was rescued by an animal control officer, but later died from her injuries.

Things like this have to be STOPPED in EVERY SINGLE STATE!

Tougher laws need to be implemented.

Please help to stop this abuse of animals.

Please sign the petition to bring justice for Cuddles and for all animals who have died at the hands of brutal killers.

Add your voice!  Let these mindless jerks know that you are not going to sit idle while they go around torturing and killing helpless animals!

People who would do this to an animal are only one step away from doing this to a child, an elderly person, someone with a handicap or anyone else they deem weak and defenseless.  Why?  Because they are cowards and are under the belief they are entitled to to do anything they want to anyone or anything without consequences!
As human experiencers, we are obligated to take care of those who cannot take care of themselves ... to defend and protect those who cannot fend for themselves.

The way we treat our animals reflects how we treat one another.

I am of a firm belief that if you are cruel to animals then you are most certainly cruel to another human being.
